Meet Sonali Tanksale

I’m passionate about supporting individuals and families as they navigate life’s challenges — whether it’s grief, anxiety, depression, parenting stress, or relationship difficulties. I believe it takes strength to reach out for help, and I strive to offer a warm, collaborative space where your story is heard with care and without judgment.
I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over 14 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Mumbai and am currently completing my PhD in Applied Psychology at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). My research focuses on childhood grief, post-traumatic growth, and the role of family in supporting bereaved children — insights that deeply inform my therapeutic work and allow me to bridge research with real-world practice.
In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a Consultant and Supervisor with EMDR India, and I’m currently a Trainer-in-Training for EMDR Part 1. These roles allow me to support not only clients but also fellow therapists in cultivating trauma-informed, ethically grounded therapeutic practice.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients through a wide range of concerns, including grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and low self-esteem. My work integrates EMDR, CBT, and REBT, always attuned to each client’s pace, needs, and inner strengths.
Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply looking for a space to reconnect with yourself, I’m here to walk alongside you with presence, respect, and a deep belief in your capacity to heal and grow.
